On The Mic Thursday

The follow was posted on facebook, which is my review to the nights event at the weekly open mike session taking place in Brooklyn N Y . PEACE!!

If you were not at (@) On The  Mic last night, (Thur. Dec. 29,2011) then you truly missed a night of fun and soul feeding.
I could stop writing right here and it would have said it all; but let me paint for you a picture so you may captivate the essence of the night's atmosphere.

The place was CRAZY, yea, CRAZY!.

The program started with the usual intro from Ras Atiba and his newly appointed co-host, "my bad" for not remembering the sisters name (Cita?) at this time but if you were there you would join me in saying the young lady is so far doing a fine job.

Ras Atiba then kicked off the "madness" with one of his many spoken word pieces,
this was followed by other spoken word artist and if you was missing in action you truly missed some in dept, goose bumping, soul wrenching performance from those who chose to share a piece of their jewel with the listening audience, the vibe was arresting.
The artistes truly brought their" A Game" the energy was very positive and indeed riveting. D J “Lively" Won Don's music selections gave added value to the night's exchange.

Not that it is impossible to remember the name of all the performers, nor do I wish to be partial in leaving anyone out; but in trying to virtually place you in the moment let me mention those names I do recall and whom ever name I fail to mention be it understood that you, and what ever other pronoun do apply, that at the time of putting my thoughts to paper I was not privy to your information and would not have failed to mention you by name.

In my honest opinion all the night's performances were note worthy.

So then let me begin by saying: to those names I fail to mention; their energy shared, their performance executed, is without a doubt most deserving of a big (Washington Stevens aka Da Poet) WOOOOH. Ras Atiba,WHOOOOH!!!. Jah Mic-Heal, WOOOOH!!!  I N I, WOOOOH!!! Lion Melta, WOOOH!!! Kentec The God, WOOOOH!!!! Culture Wise, WOOOOH!!!! Ras Casa, WOOOH!!! And well yours truly is working on his craft. WOOOOH!!!!
The night's Fashion Showcase was cast in cultural tone with a featuring of necklaces and wrist wear all hand made with colorful beads worthy of mentioning here. If you were not present to partake I hope you will join us next week/year as we continue to network ourselves to HIGH HEIGHTS as we are determine to live our lives above the fray, So please join us THURSDAY JANUARY 5th 2012 for what we hope will be another night of exciting  positive entertainment, and community networking. POSITIVE NEW YEAR TO ALL.    Blessed Love
